Walters & Hemming, LLC is a licensed and insured plumbing and HVAC company. We have been installing, repairing, and maintaining HVAC systems and plumbing since 1926 in the Grand Traverse, Leelanau County, Antrim, and Benzie areas.

Additional Suggestions for Saving Energy Consumption


  • Ensure your water heater is in good condition
  • Keep your water heater's temperature between 115 and 120 degrees
  • Consider a tankless water heater to heat only the water you need
  • Tune up your furnace
  • Consider upgrading to a new efficient furnace or air conditioning unit
  • Replace or clean your furnace filters monthly or semi-annually for 5" wide filters (this saves you up to 5% on your heating bill)
